The Tooth Fairy Has Some Stiff Competition

toothfairy mainHere’s a weird fact, while masquerading as the Tooth Fairy my husband has kept all of our kids’ baby teeth. And we have three kids – so that’s a lot of teeth.

These ‘stolen’ teeth sit in a container on a high shelf in our room which every now and again I knock over and get showered in teeth. It’s just revolting.

So I ask him periodically why he keeps them and he shrugs as if to say; well I’ve started now so I can’t stop? And I look at him with my best mum-look; Oh yes you can.

And recently, over lunch, I spoke of husband’s weird tooth collection and a colleague told me about lady on Pinterest who uses baby teeth to make bespoke dolls. She said the whole thing went viral earlier this year and nearly broke the internet – which I missed of course; but you know better late than never, right?

I was so intrigued by the thought that I went online to verify things.

And I kid you not. This is a thing.

If you want to know more, take a look at Mrs McGettrick’s Fuggler Emporium – you’ll find a website dedicated to making these strange-looking HUMAN TEETH dolls. WARNING: It is freaky!

Fuggler.comSo now I’m faced with a dilemma; do we keep our kids’ baby teeth in a container on a shelf in the bedroom for the next 20 years before we come to our senses and throw them out OR do I have them inserted into a doll NOW and scare my children and all who wander recklessly into our home … what would you do?
