This recipe is so simple and perfect for little hands to help with! And with only two ingredients it’s an easy introduction into cooking with your little one.
And once the dough is made the options of what you do with it are endless – you can make pizza, scrolls, calzones or anything else you like! It will be one of the quickest meals you will make.
Ingredients
– 1 cup of Greek yoghurt
– 1 1/2 cups of self raising flour
Method
Mix all ingredients into a bowl, knead until combined and a workable consistency. If the dough is too wet add more flour, if it is too dry, add more yoghurt.
And that’s it!
My 3.5yo enjoys this as the steps are easy enough for him to do, I let him fill up the measuring cups and pour the ingredients in the bowl and help to mix it (I do need to take over when kneading it).
Little things….here are some ideas on what to do with the dough:
For making pizza
– preheat the oven to 180°C
– roll out the dough onto a floured benchtop, you can either do one large pizza or smaller ones
– top it with your favourite toppings
– cook for approx. 10 minutes
For Vegemite and cheese scrolls:
– preheat the oven to 180°C
– roll out the dough on a floured benchtop into a large rectangle shape
– spread room temperature Vegemite thinly onto the dough, leaving around 2cm along the edges
– sprinkle with grated cheese
– roll it up tightly so that it forms one long log
– cut into the log, making scrolls that are approx. 5cm in width
– place each scroll onto a tray and pop into the oven for 10 minutes
