Nature Collage

This activity is a great way to encourage nature into art time.  It’s fun and encourages creativity as well as having a sensory element to it.

What you need:

• Poster paper or a large piece of card
• Craft glue
• Leaves, sticks, gumnuts, twigs, petals etc.

What you do:

This activity is good as there are two parts to it: the first one being taking the children outside to hunt for and collect whatever they can find in their natural surroundings. This can be done at home (and brought into playgroup if they attend) or done at playgroup during the session.

Once the children have collected their nature items they can start making their nature collage. Let them have fun gluing and sticking their items to the card and get creative in how they’d like to display it.
