Bring a Senior to Playgroup Week (4-10 November 2024) is Playgroup WA’s annual celebration of the important role seniors play in our families and communities.

While we know many grandparents and other special seniors already attend playgroup, it’s time to celebrate the many wonderful ways they inspire, nurture and play! 

Between 4-10 November, we would love for playgroups to hold an event, encouraging members to invite a special senior/s, along. If you can only hold the event the week before or after, that’s ok too. You’re also welcome to hold several events.

What can you do for your event? 

Below are some fun ideas of what you could do:

• Host a morning tea
• Have a barbecue
• Enjoy an outdoors picnic
• Hold an exhibition of your children’s artwork 
• Invite seniors for a story sharing session
• Have an excursion to a local senior’s centre or aged care facility

Register your playgroup’s event by completing the form below before Sunday 13 October 2024 to receive some Playgroup WA goodies! The first 50 playgroups to register will receive a $40 gift card to contribute to food and refreshments. Every playgroup that registers will be sent the following:

• ‘Thank You’ cards for seniors attending the event/s
