Playdough Farm
It’s no secret, we love playdough! Not only does it offer a great sensory play experience, it also encourages muscle development and assists with hand-eye coordination.
What you need:
- Playdough
- Pop sticks
- Plant clippings
- Plastic animals
Once you’ve made the playdough set up a table for kids to make a farm, putting the popsticks and plant clippings in the middle of the table. Give each child a mound of playdough and help them roll it out. Use the popsticks to make fences and the plant clippings as trees. This activity always goes down well and provides hours of entertainment.

- 1 cup salt
- 2 cups plain flower
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 3 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 2 cups boiling water
- Food colouring

- Combine ingredients, knead gently – then play!
