Join the Playgroup WA Board

PLAYGROUP WA is seeking applicants to fill a role on the Board. This appointment will be effective immediately.

Both metro and country based members are encouraged to apply, as the Board will look at ways to ensure effective representation and time management.

The Board’s role is to set long-term goals and objectives for Playgroup WA to ensure it continues to be relevant and supportive to our thousands of member families, to provide support and direction to the CEO on the implementation of strategies to achieve these goals, to monitor compliance with policies and financial and legal requirements, and to maintain effective communications with members. Board meetings are held monthly, between school and business hours, alternating between governance and strategic focussed agendas. Child care is provided for these meetings.

Board membership is diverse, with a range of experience and skills to ensure good governance and strategic direction.

The Board is managed according to governance protocols and a comprehensive induction process and training is given to all new Board members. Previous Board or Management Committee experience is not essential. More important is that you bring with you your enthusiasm, a keen interest in the development of the under 5’s, and your views!
